Our Vision

Our Vision:

The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust will:

1. Nurture innovative partnerships for habitat protection involving multiple stakeholders – land donors, financial supporters, local constituents, volunteers and others.

2. Engage its resources as an agile, flexible, creative and responsive organization, protecting wildlife habitat through a variety of measures, including land preservation agreements and wildlife management agreements with other organizations.

3. Join with individuals, agencies, organizations and working farms and ranches to preserve and restore our natural areas, forests, vistas, rivers and streams for the benefit of wildlife.

4. Influence public policy through habitat protection.

5. Embrace a new and enlarged constituency that supports HSWLT’s work through memberships and philanthropy.

6. Raise HSWLT's profile using diverse projects and initiatives that showcase concrete accomplishments.

7. Be the lead organization within the land trust and conservation community – the primary organization to which landowners and others turn – for multi-species wildlife habitat protection.
