HOW YOU CAN HELP
Make a Contribution

Join us in our mission of Saving Lives by Saving Land by making a contribution today! The Trust is currently the only national land trust fully committed to establishing permanent and safe habitats for all wild animals. Our success relies on the generous support from people like you. Together we are making a difference for wildlife.
There are several ways you can help:

1) Become a Member
By becoming a member of the Trust today, you will be joining a family of individuals dedicated to protecting wildlife by preserving natural habitats and permanent sanctuaries. Members receive our newsletter and special updates.

Already a member?  Or just making a donation? By making an online donation you will be providing the support we need to provide safe havens for wild animals across the country and around the globe.

2) Monthly Giving
We invite you to join our monthly giving program. This convenient and flexible way to give provides the Trust with a dependable source of funding throughout the year.

3) Gift membership
Delight your family and friends with a gift membership that supports wildlife habitat protection.

4) Gift and Estate Planning

A bequest in your will or living trust is an uncomplicated way to help save wildlife habitat. A bequest may take several forms. It can be specific sum, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after expenses and gifts to loved ones. Bequests can include cash, securities, real estate, houses, and personal property such as valuable collections, art, or jewelry. Living trusts are a popular choice because the terms of a living trust, unlike a will, can be put into effect immediately upon your death, bypassing probate.

If you are considering leaving your property to WLT as a wildlife sanctuary, we encourage you to submit a Land Preservation Information Form so that we can work together to understand your goals for the land and determine its suitability as a permanent sanctuary.

NOTE: We strongly urge you to consult an attorney when developing a will and other estate plans. In some cases, self-written or "homemade" wills and estate plans may not ultimately be considered valid. In addition, charitable legatees need to be properly described in the will to avoid confusion later.   Click here for some examples of wording to be considered by you and your attorney.

With so many different ways to give, we are confident that we can help you find the approach that best meets both your financial and charitable goals. If you are interested in learning more about planned giving opportunities, please call us toll at 1-800-729-SAVE or email us.
