PROTECTING YOUR LAND
Qualifying Criteria

The Wildlife Land Trust seeks and accepts lands, and conservation easements on lands, that provide value to wildlife. Size is not the critical determining factor, but rather value to wildlife. We are also not specifically seeking lands that possess rare, threatened, or endangered species. We seek to establish places of safe haven and humane stewardship for all species. While a property may not be nationally or even regionally significant, it may provide essential habitat within the smaller framework, or it may serve as a useful linkage between other larger protected areas. In addition, such natural lands enrich the experiences of everyday human lives in a community, helping to foster the development of empathy and compassion toward nature.
