Mid-Atlantic
This 45-acre property includes lush woodlands, wetland habitat, and a creek. It was donated to The Wildlife Land Trust as a permanent wildlife sanctuary, as its owner, Ernan Roman, wished to permanently preserve the integrity of the ecosystems on the land. In addition to providing homes for many bird and duck species, the sanctuary is also home to deer, fish, turtles, and various frog species. The many creatures seeking refuge there from hunting on surrounding properties will also benefit from the land's designation as a permanent sanctuary.
