South of the blackhills in western South Dakota, the rich, rolling grasslands and natural springs of Rita Roller's 145-acre property support transient pronghorn antelope populations, a wide variety of birds, and the swift fox, a state species of special concern. It is also home to coyotes, deer, buffalo, and prairie dogs.
