SANCTUARIES
Northeast
This 110-acre sanctuary is comprised of rocky and forested areas, bogs, wetlands, open beaver ponds, second and third growth forest, a stream, and meadows. Beavers, muskrats, moose, raccoons, otters, red fox, weasels, and many migratory birds may be found in the wetland areas, while white-tailed deer, black bears, porcupines, and opossum reside in the forested areas. The property came to the Trust through the recommendation of Mrs. Barbara Birdsey -- an advisor and generous land donor to our Trust -- to the Orenda Land Trust's Board of Directors.
